... that the Holy Bible is the inspired Word of God. It reveals God’s nature to us and teaches us to live Godly, purposeful lives.
... that there is one true God, who exists eternally in three persons: God the Father, God the Son who is Jesus Christ, and God The Holy Spirit.
... that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, born of the Virgin Mary, crucified to wash away our sins, resurrected from the dead, and ascended to The Father.
... that salvation is extended to all mankind through God's Grace, but it must be accepted by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
... in the baptism in the Holy Spirit, which empowers believers to live as witnesses to the resurrection of Jesus Christ, evidenced by His power working in us and through us.
... in the secong coming of the Lord Jesus Christ and the ascension to God the Father of all those who have accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.
The New Covenant Church started as a way to reach out, spiritually, to the community and share God's grace with our friends and neighbors. Initially housed in the Elba Methodist Church on Chapel Street, the New Covenant Church acquired a building on Oak Orchard Road and moved their ministry there in 2013.
The original ministry has also expanded its outreach to include a Clothing Depot, where gently-used clothing is made available for purchase, and a Family Outreach Center, which enables us to provide much-needed counseling and fellowship opportunities to our congregational members, as well as a Nursing Home Outreach Program, serving those confined to the Orleans County Nursing Home on a monthly basis.
The New Covenant Chapel desires to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the beliefs of the Christian faith, to steadfastly worship and praise the one and only true God, and to inspire in all persons with whom we come into contact a love for Christ, a passion for righteousness, and a consciousness of their duties to God and to their fellow human beings. We pledge our lives to Christ and covenant with each other to demonstrate His Spirit through worship, witnessing, and ministry to the needs of the people of this church and the community at large.
